Dino trying to convince some poor woman that she should stay with him, when she OBVIOUSLY just wants to get home.
Just let her go, Dean, let her go.
(Not my video, by the way! Thank you to the lovely person who does own it!)

My sister and I had an epic discussion on Baby, It's Cold Outside last week. Mainly it consisted of vintage vs. modern renditions, and the difference in levels of sensuality. We're VERY analytical in this family!
Strangely, I was listening to Dino sing this mere moments before I saw your post...
Okay, I REALLY need to have a conversation with your sister! Haha! You two sound strangely like my brother and I!
I was thinking that while writing the post, about how much the song has changed over the years, from being what was initially a sweet little song into anything but innocent (us and our squeaky cleanness! ;-P)!
I agree about the song being meant to be playful instead of sensual. Sounds like an interesting discussion, Emm. Have modern renditions actually changed the words or is it just the tone?

I'm going to say my favourite phrase, Emm:
GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE! Hahaha!
Granted, I'm a bloke, but what girl would go out in the cold when the ultracool Dino is begging her to stay inside with him! :-)
I'm beginning to think we may have the greatest minds of out time, Niamhy! ;D
I think the song was meant to be sweet and playful rather than overly sensual -- but it obviously can be interpreted that way too.
@Mercurie AN INSANE WOMAN! But then, maybe there was leftover spaghetti waiting for her at home. Yes, I'm really weird. But I love my spaghetti. ;-P
@Emm I am too, Emm! Hahaha! We say it enough!
I think it was supposed to be playful before anything else too. Either way-I LOVE IT! :-D

I think just the tone. Have you checked out Tom Jones and Cerys Matthews singing it? Far more sensual! :-P
By the way Audrey-just realised you had a blog! Following now! ;-D
Yes, I am still getting the hang of it (blogging), though! I love the design of yours. :D
I wouldn't worry about it-I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing!
Thank you deary! :-P
