My Favourite Actors!

Whenever someone asks me who my favourite actor is I totally freak out. My mind goes totally blank, and I can never think of anything to say! So, for future reference, here are my top 10 favourite actors. And, may I add, all these actors are first place-I can't rank them!

 1. Gregory Peck

He is The Man. When anyone says 'Gregory Peck' I simply reply 'The Man'. That is the only way to describe him.

2. Humphrey Bogart

He can do angry and brooding. And he can do...angry and brooding. And did he mention he can do angry and brooding? C'mon, what more do you expect from Bogie?

3. Laurence Olivier

He is an AMAZING actor! He can play any literary character there is-and he has an amazing moustache! (Which I have just discovered is not present in this photo-what happened there?!)

4. Donald O'Connor

One simple reason-he makes me laugh. Oh wait-he was also my granda's favourite actor. My granda was Donald O'Connor. Well, that's what he told my mother. And she believed him.

5. Fred Astaire

The guy's got style. And he can move. And not only could he move-he could sing and act while doing it too!

6. Rock Hudson

Rock didn't really act as much as he reacted by pulling faces to other people's remarks. But I love him!

7. Orson Welles

One word: smooth. Two more words: Citizen Kane.

8. James Dean

Jimmy only starred in three movies-but he fairly made an impact, didn't he? He fully embodied an angsty (not actually a word!) teen.

9. Archie Leach

North By Northwest. Suspicion. Notorious. To Catch A Thief. The Awful Truth. His Girl Friday. Need I continue?

10. Bobby Darin

Would any list of mine be complete without him? In a word-NO. He will probably make an appearance in the favourite actresses and favourite directors lists too! But seriously now-BOBBY COULD REALLY ACT! He could do comedy, drama, psychotic killer, mentally unstable corporal-he was very versatile!

You will no doubt be hearing a lot about these guys in the very near future! And I will probably have another post in a few days for actors I have forgotten. Ah well-I'll never change!

The Men With The Moustaches!

I heart moustaches. I don't know what it is about them, but I love them! Well, that is, on vintage men (modern day men...I'm not so sure!). They are the epitome of coolness. So, to celebrate the wonderful face fuzz here are some men who totally rock the 'tash!

1. Laurence Olivier-This man has the most amazing moustache ever! You simply can't take your eyes off it!

2. Michael Redgrave-This moustache makes me laugh! I don't know what it is about it; it's just so comical! Every time he appeared on screen in 'The Lady Vanishes' I just burst into fits of giggles! But I do love it!

3. Biggles-So technically his moustache wasn't real. Neither was he. But it is pretty damn cool!

4. Groucho Marx-Another non-existing moustache. But you can't have a cool moustache list without it!

5. Sammy Davis Jr- People think it was the singing, the dancing and the charisma that made Mr. Bojangles a hit. It wasn't. It was the moustache.

6.  Hercule Poirot-If I was a man I would grow a moustache like this.

7. Salvador Dali-I wonder how long it took him to style it in the mornings?

8. Charlie Chaplin-Possibly the most iconic moustache there is. There is actually a t-shirt of his moustache!

9. Albert Einstein-Once again, it was not the brain that made him smart. It was the moustache!

10. Bobby Darin-This is a silly moustache. A really silly moustache. But I honestly do think Bobby would still be adorable if he had a Dumbledore beard down to his ankles!

I seriously don't think anyone is still reading this. I had a serious moustache overload! But it was so much fun!

Quote Of The Day!

One from Mr. De Win...I mean, Laurence Olivier!

'Have a very good reason for everything you do.'

My Favourite Movies!

Okay, these are in no particular order! All these movies are my favourites! So, here we go...

Okay, before I start getting hate thrown at me by Hitchcock fans like myself: I AM NOT SAYING THIS IS THE BEST HITCHCOCK MOVIE! We all know that they are The Lady Vanishes and Shadow of a Doubt! I'm just saying that this is my favourite one.

Why? Well, this movie brings back so many good memories for me! Each time I watch it, I remember my very first viewing. I was seven, it was a Saturday morning and my mummy was taking care of my Alzheimer-ridden granny. Whilst flicking through the channels I spotted Rebecca, and decided to watch it, because I had heard my mummy praise it so often. And guess what-I ADORED IT! May I add that this was the first time I had ever watched a Hitchcock movie! It was the beginning of an era!

Other reasons why I love this movie-it has an absolutely fantastic storyline (although I prefer the book ending!), great acting and I'm a huge fan of Mr. Olivier's moustache!
