Yes, he was a terrible womanizer, had an alcohol problem, and took narcotics...But I still love watching him in those super fun swashbucklers and westerns!
He was pretty bad. He had some serious Mommy issues which he took out on women. Flynn didn't care for the Hollywood system and while he liked making movies he didn't love it and often dreamed about escaping to Jamaica or would sail on his yacht just to get away. Then he had money problems and booze problems so he HAD to keep making pictures. There is a story about Flynn injecting vodka into oranges and bringing them with him to movie sets when directors banned him from drinking because he would always show up drunk! Ha.
Thank you! I've never actually seen a complete Errol movie-I've seen parts of Robin Hood, and found it kind of hilarious! But I am open to other movies (like swashbucklers and westerns)!
And injecting oranges with Vodka is actually pretty genius. Hehe.
