I wonder if vintage can be considered the same as retro? Or does retro only refer to more recent times, like the Sixties? :-)

As far as I know, the term 'retro' refers to any vintage trend that is revisited, and becomes current again at a later period in time. In other words, modern clothes which are designed in the style of the sixties, say, are retro-- while a piece from the actual period is vintage.

Well, I guess this question has already been answered! 'Vintage' can mean anything from the past, even up to the 2000s, but 'retro' sort of means reproduction vintage. However, I do know the items from the 50s and 60s are usually referred to as 'retro'. :-P
