Happy Birthday Audrey Hepburn!

Only a true lady could speak words of such genius and meaning. On this day in 1929, a little girl was born in Belgium and her name was Audrey Kathleen Ruston. This little girl would grow up to be one of the best-loved and most talented actresses of all time, as well as a fantastic person, with a passion for humanitarian work and well-known for her contribution to UNICEF projects. I am positive that Audrey Hepburn will never be forgotten, and rightly so. She is as much an inspiration to people, especially young women, today as she was way back in the 1950s, when she first came into the public eye with her role in Roman Holiday. Happy 82nd Birthday to my idol, the fabulous Audrey Hepburn!

Do you have a favorite Audrey movie? I'm between Roman Holiday and Sabrina, though I also adore Charade.

As you already know (and as I say in tonight's blog entry), I am hopelessly in love with Audrey Hepburn. Only Grace Kelly and, umm, one other actress can lay claim to my heart. She was quite simply the most beautiful woman (along with Grace) of her time. And she was beautiful in both features and soul. I don't think many other actresses did as much good as she did.

@Mercurie I wholeheartedly agree...and well said! I find it really hard to portray my feelings with words for these sort of things...just blog posts, actually. Everything else is fine! ;-P
