The Black Rose...

The Black Rose...

This is inspired by Erté's painting, The Black Rose, even though the roses in the set are quite obviously NOT black!

Hi, I'm a new follower. I saw your blog listed as one that another blog I read follows, and I clicked with your blog title. I definitely feel I was born in the wrong decade too. For me, it's the 1940's. If they could have lasted for my entire lifetime, I would be thrilled.

Since you are a Peck fan, you probably already know this, but just in case you don't... Peck's handsome face will be featured on the Hollywood Legends postage stamp (in his Atticus Finch photo). The stamp will be unveiled sometime in April. I have been using the Gary Cooper stamps (my #2 guy, behind William Holden) from when they came out in September 2009 until now. (I only have 13 stamps left and can no longer buy them from the post office.) Anyhow, just a heads-up in case you didn't already know that.

Just wanted to introduce myself...I voted in your poll.

Hello! So lovely that you came to introduce yourself-people think it's very strange that I introduce myself on Twitter and such, but I just think it's very...proper? ;-P

Oh, I'm very prepared, hahaha! I've already had phone conversations with my cousin in the States who is going to send loads of letters over with the stamps-I'M SO EXCITED!

Thank you for voting, and lovely to meet you! Drop by again soon! :-P
